トルコ南東部のシリア国境近くで6日、マグニチュード7.7の地震が発生し、トルコとシリアの両国でこれまでにあわせて1600人以上が死亡しました。現地では救助活動が続く中、日本時間の6日夜新たにマグニチュード7.6の地震が発生し、被害の拡大が懸念されています。

The death toll is rising from a powerful 7.8 magnitude earthquake that hit southeast Turkey and northern Syria early on Monday.

More than 1,500 were killed in the two countries and thousands were injured.
